Spacers

What is a spacer?

A spacer is an add-on device that allows you to dispense the respiratory medication from the inhaler slower, turning it into a very fine mist instead of a high-pressure spray.

Why use a spacer?

Using a spacer increases the percentage of medication delivered to the lungs.

Because the spacer slows down and expands the aerosol of the inhaler, the fine drug particles are carried deep into the small airways in lungs.
